Yes, you read that right. My 10 year old daughter finally gave me the ok to use her as my model yesterday for some new hair flowers. I took full advantage of the rare chance. Funny how she can sit still long enough for me to put that red grizzly feather in her hair because she wanted it. We had fun and she did a great job. Thank you Arin. Mom loves you!
I added this handmade and vintage inspired hair clip fascinator yesterday to my Etsy studio. I made it from an ecru vintage crocheted doily and an assortment of first quality white and ecru feathers and adorned it with white and ecru goose, shapplen and ostrich feathers. I love the way it turned out-so feminine..
I have enough feathers to make a down bed cover! I have recently gone through my supplies to find an abundance of beautiful feathers. The texture and softness gets me every time and the endless possibilities.... Here is a new hair piece I just added to my shop using white goose feathers. I love making large feather hair flowers like this one.
Today on CraftGossip 3 randomly selected entries from the latest linky party were selected and FancieStrands was picked.. Here is what they had to say "First is this gorgeous fascinator available at Fancie Strands on Etsy. Silk flowers, feathers, and a sparkly rhinestone center make this a perfect accent for a summer wedding or other special event".
