Todays Mission

Im on a cleaning roll. My house has gotten so cluttered over the summer with kids home, it is time to clean out some stuff. When my house gets like this it clutters my brain and I can only take it so long. The last few days I have worked on my kitchen because all of my sewing supplies were on the kitchen table. That would be 2 sewing machines, cutting boards, scissors, fabric, bows, ribbon, buttons, you get the picture. A total nightmare and it does not make for a fun creative working space. My husband finally finished the hardwood floors and now my sewing space is in the dinning room and looking pretty organized. I still have a few things to go through. Today I am cleaning out my laundry room and pantry. YUK! I will be so relieved when it is done to. I have so much scrapbooking stuff in it, there is no room for what needs to be in it. Time to part with some of these supplies.  So, Im feeling pretty good with my accomplishments and much needed found space. By the first of the week I should be on a roll sewing again and enjoying my relaxed uncluttered mind and space.

Friday Featured Shop: The Daily Pincushion

This Fridays Featured shop is the Daily Pincushion from Etsy. This has got to be one of my favorite shops. The felted pincushions, booties, and matching mini emery pin cushions are available in many wonderful patterns and colors. The detailing in all of these pincushions are amazing and would make great gifts for the sewing lover. I think everyone should own one of these to use or display. What do you think about The Daily Pincushion  and can you pick just one favorite?

Passing Time with Needle

This is my favorite thing to do when I travel in the car- Crochet. Here is what I created to and from the beach this summer. I love the look of this brown yarn with the colorful ribbon threads running through it.
